On Feb. 7th, we prepared a special event for Seollal, which is the Korean traditional New Year.
In Korea, we always make Mandu(만두), the traditional Korean dumpling, to celebrate Seollal. Therefore, on that day, we made dumplings with friends and families, and they turned out wonderfully.
The reason why we make Mandu on Seollal is that it symbolizes eating a lot of luck (福) along with the dumpling skin.
Additionally, we played Yutnori(윷놀이) with our students and their families! Yutnori is a traditional Korean board game that requires four Yut sticks, a board, and tokens for each team.
To play this game, you must simultaneously throw the four Yut sticks. The objective is to return all of your tokens to the starting point using strategic moves.
