Towards the future, Together with the World
Professor Ileana and students(Amina, San Sapal, Faradina Vidyani, Raijieli Raisaluwaki Kasanibuli) visited KISTI to experience Korea's latest IT technology.
KISTI (Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information) is a research institute under the Ministry of Science and ICT, established to secure national competitiveness through systematic establishment of science and technology R&D infrastructure.
Above all, KISTI is famous for being one of the few supercomputers in Korea. There are only three government-run supercomputers in Korea: KISTI, the Korea Meteorological Administration, and the Korea Institute of Fusion Energy. KISTI's supercomputer, Nurion, ranks 31st in the world as of June 2021.
The ITTP members were able to broaden their eyes while touring KISTI and had various experiences by seeing the supercomputer in person. In addition, they were able to gain knowledge about the national R&D project while listening to the explanation of the close relationship between KISTI and NTIS(National Science & Technology Information Service).
